Epiphany

I had an epiphany this week that I put together from a combination of sermons I heard this week. The timing was perfect as I await the possibility of my husband losing his job to downsizing and the additional possibility of our family being relocated by another company to Seattle, WA.

It is thus:

• I am forgiven because of what Jesus did on the cross.

And...

• Without His forgiveness, God could not allow me in His presence.

So...

• Because God allows me in His presence, that Jesus is real and that I AM FORGIVEN!

Therefore...

• When I am in God's presence, there is no room to fear.

In short:

Forgiveness + God's Presence = No Fear.

Today as I contemplated moving to Seattle, WA, I blasted this song "I Was Made" by Toby Mac and sang my heart out with my mom while we danced around my parent's family room and took turns swirling my 17 month old daughter around. God's presence was all over us! In fact, I feel his presence every time I play this song. I could play it a million times.

I posted a link to the song one time before, but I don't think it worked. It reminds me that I can stand on God's Promises. I identify with all of it except that my dream is not fading... or maybe it is. I'm now learning to fade my dreams into THE DREAM God has for me. I can feel He's got something bigger for me - for us - than the small dreams I have in my heart and the only way I can find His Will is if I let go until He throws the dreams I have surrendered to Him back to me. And that's easier said than done. He is fulfilling HIS dream in my life as any parent would work to do (which is much better than my dream). My job is to LOVE him, TRUST my Daddy that His Will will happen, and to DELIGHT myself in the fact that I WAS MADE just for Him!

He has promised to me that my dreams will happen, but I must drop it all to Follow Him. His Grace is Sufficient for me and my family. Because where we will live, what our family does, and how we will live, will all work out according to HIS plan and it will be even bigger than what I could imagine. This song echoes Deuteronomy 31:6 that He PROMISED He'd keep me and NEVER forsake me. God has gone before me and He has been waiting on me from the beginning of time.

I've been lately identifying my spiritual life with The Lion King (hence my blog layout) and I was holding back the tears when I saw the way the song was presented. (If you're wondering what I'm thinking... I see myself as Simba). I'm not too crazy with how they did the very end, but listen to the words in the song (I pasted the Lyrics for you to read as you watch). My favorite part are the lines "I feel a breeze cover me call Jehovah... And Daddy I'm on my way!" (and the visual of Simba just gives me goosebumps!" That's where I'm at right now.

I will stand on The Word and I will seek His Will!
