A New Life and Potty Progress

Wow! It's 2009. It's a New Year and a totally new life for us this year. We live in a new house in a new town that we love and can't wait to find out what's in store. I'll talk more about our move and where we're at soon, but I'd like to break in the new year with big news about my BIG GIRL! She's 2-1/2 now and she's so smart! She started going on the potty before Christmas and then the excitement died down, so I created a Potty Sticker Reward Chart with nothing less than *Princess* Stickers to motivate her... and it is working. She not only has a Potty Chart, but I also made an "Avelyn's Mealtime Manners" Reward Chart and a bedtime chart to help motivate her to sleep through the night. (there she is awake again right on cue!)

Okay... so she's in my arms right now and the chart isn't working for that... yet. But she was able to read the pictures and explain it to her Baby Bobby: "See Baby Bobby? Stay in Bed. Close our eyes. Be quiet. Go to Sleep." Cute.

She's having a rough week with a cold, but she'll get it soon enough.
